My Kit

The gear I know inside and out.

Equipment I've spent real time with on set — reliable, familiar, and ready to go.

What I record on

  • Sound Devices MixPre-10T (my go-to field recorder)
  • UltraSync ONE timecode system (sync I trust)

Mics I reach for first

  • Sennheiser MKH 416 (my main shotgun)
  • Sennheiser ME66 (shotgun I know well)
  • RØDE Lavalier II x2 (concealed dialogue)

Wireless I rely on

  • Sennheiser G3 radio mic system (tried and tested)
  • RØDE Wireless GO II (dual channel, solid backup)

Poles and supports I use

  • Ambient 3.5m boom pole
  • Panamic 5m carbon fibre boom pole
  • RØDE 5m boom pole
  • Boom Buddy boom holder (saves my arms on long takes)

What I listen with

  • Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro headphones (know these inside out)

Extras I always bring

  • Full XLR cabling (various lengths, never caught short)
  • Professional lav mounting and concealment kits (URSA, Bubblebee — the ones that work)

Where this kit has already earned its place.

Real projects, real experience — this is what I'm comfortable bringing to a set.

Short Films

Dialogue-heavy scenes, location changes, controlled dramatic work — I've done plenty of these.

Multi-Mic Scenes

Lav and boom combos, sync workflows — setups I've run many times and know how to balance cleanly.

Independent Productions

Smaller crews, tighter schedules — I know how to move fast without cutting corners on sound.
